Herbal Henna – A Perfect Natural Cure for Hair
If you’re looking for healthy, shiny, strong, and long hair and don’t like artificial hair care products, it’s time to try natural henna. Henna, also known as Mehandi or Mehndi, is made from the green leaves of the henna plant. The henna plant is generally found or planted in central India to produce natural hair care, skincare, and other health products. Henna is also applied to the head, hands, feet, and other parts of the body to keep them cool in a warm climate. Henna products have been among the widely accepted natural hair care products in India since ancient times, and many people still prefer these natural products to artificial shampoos, conditioners, hair dyes, etc.
Henna can be used as a conditioner, hair color, conditioner, or any other hair treatment. Natural henna is basically available on the market as a powder and paste. Henna and henna products are used in varying degrees in different countries and regions. Henna has a long history of use in most Asian countries, such as India, Pakistan, Iran, and North Africa. The botanical name of henna is Lawsonia Inermis. It is the most popular product because of its ability to color the skin and hair more effectively and efficiently for a longer period of time compared to other natural hair products. Generally, henna products are manufactured by manufacturers who purchase henna leaves as raw products from large henna farms across the country. Henna leaves are first harvested from henna bushes and then processed into powder in the mill. Water or other suitable liquids are added to the powder to make a paste for various purposes.
There are two main advantages of henna for hair: conditioning and coloring
Henna as a conditioner
Considering the conditioning effect of henna, it strengthens the hair, acts as an anti-fungal agent, and reduces the appearance of dandruff and lice. Henna reduces the likelihood of scalp infection by acting as an anti-agent against the bacteria responsible for scalp production. If you have tightly curled hair, henna loosens it to make hair brushing more comfortable.
Henna as a color
The effect of henna as a color is not like synthetic dyes, it deepens the hair color with transparent red as it is applied over many times. It can be used to lighten hair but gives dark hair a red and reddish sheen.
How to use Henna
– For optimal staining, henna is most effective in an acidic, warm, and moist environment.
– After application, give it time to dissolve on its own and dye better.
– A long-lasting conditioner is needed to completely remove it from the hair and scalp.
– It is recommended that you wear gloves and a protective cover while applying henna to your hair or other body parts, as it can easily leave stains on your skin and clothing that are then very difficult to remove.
Using henna on your hair
There are no special requirements before applying henna to your hair, but there are still some things that can be helpful, such as pre-washing the hair, which is not recommended because it removes the natural oil in the hair and you will not be able to take full advantage of henna. The henna layer seals in the hair’s natural oil to ensure better color, shine, and strength. If your hair is dry, you can apply conditioning oil before applying henna. The recipe for henna can be prepared according to the needs of the users but for most users the basic recipe for henna paste (50% lemon juice + 50% distilled water + henna powder as needed).
