Mehndi Drawing – Henna Hand Tattoos, but on Paper – Substitute Art Teacher Lesson

In this video, we discuss the Middle Eastern body art style known as Mehndi. This video is intended to be used by substitute teachers in the art classroom. Sharpie markers can be replaced with any other kind of marker or pen (black, brown, earth tones, etc). Paper doesn’t have to be skin tones – colorful papers work really nicely as well, and give more emotion to the picture.

An alternate background idea would be to cut out the hand after drawing the henna patterns, and glue it onto a differently-colored paper with patterns pre-drawn on it.
