Natural Hair Care Products – Are They For You?

Natural hair products have been used for many, many years, and by ancient societies. Indians still use herbs such as neem, shikakai, henna, bael, Brahmi, aloe in combination with things like sandalwood, jasmine, turmeric, and rose and formulate shampoos and other hair products. Natural hair products are becoming increasingly popular as people realize that every time a product is applied to the body, part of it is absorbed. They are especially popular with pregnant women who do not want to pass chemicals on to their unborn child.

Natural hair products are now more readily available but more expensive, so you should try making them from scratch at home. There are many recipes that can be found online just by searching for “natural hair product recipes”. This is a completely new market, and when I know more about it, I will post it on my website.

Even if you are not a person who likes a lot of fuss and are not interested in using a whole range of styling products, natural products are definitely for you. Natural care does not include the use of tools such as straightening irons or curling irons. If you didn’t have to use these heaters, you wouldn’t need many of the styling products on the market today. Nor is hair coloring recommended, which is becoming increasingly popular, although many natural coloring products such as henna can be found.

Especially damaged and colored hair has been found to be of great benefit if you switch completely to natural hair care. But if you’re not completely switching to natural products or if you want to make it easier on yourself, try these tips first.

Tips

Use coconut oil or jojoba as a hair conditioner. Be sure to rinse hair thoroughly and with cold water.
To tame a frizzy hair or reduce static electricity, put a few drops of olive oil in your hand and pull it from the roots to the ends.
Any of the above oils can also be used as a deep rinse. Apply it to all your hair and scalp, cover it with a plastic shower cap (to warm it up) and wrap it with a towel. Let it soak in for 20-30 minutes and rinse well.
